Happy 1/2 Birthday to Winston Duke! I cannot believe how fast 6 months flew by. It has been the best 6 months of our lives. Experiencing the world and seeing him explore and learn new things everyday is our absolute JOY. His smile lights up a room, and his blue eyes melt my heart. On August 20, 2016 he turned 6 months old. I'm a little behind on updating the blog but better late than never. I was reminiscing the other day which was a bad idea, because I ran across pictures like this....
And it made me realize how fast time really does fly! How was he that tiny just a few short months ago?! I digress....
Anyway, Winston had a great 6 month checkup with our pediatrician. He weighed in at 20.3 lbs (90th%) and was 29.5 inches long (99%). Our Big Boy! He has been growing like crazy!! We changed his schedule up when he hit 6 months. Now he eats 4 times a day (7, 11, 3, 7:30) and goes to bed at 8:00. We started giving him baby food at 12 and 4 as well. He loves baby food! He can also drink out of a sippy cup and can do it by himself now. He has been sleeping through the night MOST nights, however there have been some rough weeks with teething. Poor baby will wake up in so much pain, and luckily now we can give him Motrin which seems to work better than Tylenol. He chews on EVERYTHING, drools all the time, loves to jump in his jumper, sits up really well and will play with toys on the floor. He still rolls over both ways but is kind of lazy about it. He gets really excited when he sees our nanny Celia, which makes leaving for work a little bit easier ;) He is happy pretty much all the time unless his teeth are bothering him. He smiles a ton and is a complete JOY to be around. We read him books before nap time and sometimes in the evenings but he isn't super interested yet. He laughs when we jump up in the air or do jumping jacks, it's the funniest thing. He thinks we're pretty funny so we'll take it! He still babbles and "talks" to us, but doesn't have any words yet. He has started expressing more interest in our dogs, especially Rhodie. He will pet him and Rhodie loves it. Dexter however will run the other way if Winston tries to pet him.

Here are a few pictures from our annual Hindes Family Trip to Rockport, TX at the end of July! It was so much fun being all together as a family. We surprised my parents for their 40th anniversary with dinner one night and several other surprises. They were very surprised! We are so thankful for Nana and Papa!!! It's hard to get everyone together now days, since there are 18 of us! I love my family and love our Rockport trips!
