God always provides!

We give God all the glory!  This week we had a family email us to let us know that they would like to pay for the clothes to be shipped to Kenya for the orphanage!!!!  We are so excited!  We can't wait to see the excitement on the kids faces to get those new clothes, uniforms, warmups, etc.  Thank you for those who are praying for us and this ministry.  It is so evident that God wants this for us.  A special thanks to the family donating this, I pray that yall will be blessed because of your faithfulness to His work!!!

On another note, Jerrod and I are getting used to being homeless :)  We stayed with my friend Lauren last week in Friendswood.  This week we have been staying at Carter & Laura's in the Woodlands.  We are so greatful for everyone's hospitality.  It's been fun getting to spend quality time with friends and family.  We are heading to Pleasanton Tuesday to stay with my parents for two weeks.  My best friend Jessica will be visiting from San Diego, I am so excited to spend time with her.  That's all for now, I'll blog more later.

I've had several blogs lately with no pictures which gets boring so here are a few.

Me, Rivers, and Lauren had girls night one night when we were staying at Lauren's :)

Just because I miss him and I love this picture of him....

Our wonderful hosts this week, Carter and Laura. :)  This pic is from an Aggie football game last fall.
Blessings,

Amanda

Girls Weekend in Dallas!

I had such a fun weekend in Dallas last week!  I had 5 days off so I decided to see friends in Dallas since it was probably the last trip I could make up there before we leave for Africa.  So, I drove up Thursday and stayed with my friend Kristen (Kho).  We met at A&M my freshman year and lived together one semester. I just love her!  We talked for hours, worked out together, relaxed, laid by her pool, ate great food, went to her church (The Village) and I met some of her friends.  It was some much needed girl time!  I was also able to meet my friend Emilee and meet her baby Chance for lunch.  He's 9 months old already, I can't believe it!  I also met my sister's best friend Jackie for happy hour one day.  It was fun catching up with her!  She's hilarious :)  Then after church on Sunday I met my friend Chasidy for lunch, then we went to Lake Lewisville with her mom and her mom's boyfriend.  It was a perfect day to be at the lake, super hot and sunny!  I stayed that night at her apartment in Wylie and hung out wither her Monday till I headed back to Houston.  It was so much fun and I thank God for great girlfriends :)

International Justice Mission

International Justice Mission - More than 500 Free from Slavery in IJM’s Largest Operation Ever

Check out this article. My friend Kyleigh (we went to Swaziland together 3 years ago) is moving to India on Sunday to work with the International Justice Mission for 10 months. She will be doing administrative work in their field office as well as legal work on cases like this one. Slavery and sex trafficking have been a huge passion of Kyleigh's. Please pray for her travel on Sunday, smooth transition into India, finding a place to live, and most importantly that the Lord will use her there in MIGHTY ways, bigger than we could ever imagine!

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has annointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim FREEDOM for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn" Isaiah 61:1-2

Thanks for your prayers!
