Catching Up Part II

Here is my second part of playing catch up. The first few pictures were taken at the basketball banquet after the season was over in February. Jerrod's freshmen team did awesome, and only lost one game. He had a great group of guys! Jerrod gives his heart and soul during basketball season, and I couldn't be more proud of him. But, I was definitely excited to get him back in the evenings and weekends :)

This was at my birthday dinner in January with some best friends! (husbands were there but not pictured :)

Visiting Chasidy in Oklahoma City one weekend. We did a little wine tasting in brick town. Love this girl!!!

A night out in Houston for Megan's birthday! I had my makeup done at MAC before, it doesn't normally look that good. I love getting my makeup done by MAC!!

At the Houston Rodeo BBQ Cookoff with Melissa, one of my good friends at work. Houston Rodeo is always a fun season!

I also ran the Rodeo 10K that weekend!

We went on a date one night to see Eli Young Band play at the Rodeo.... gotta have a turkey leg!

Love him!!!

My parents came to Houston one weekend in March so we all got together at my brother's house for a little family time. Love my family!

Kyleigh came to Houston to visit her sister, but we also got to see her a good bit too! We ate a birthday brunch for her bday in Montrose at Gratifi! Yummy! (Kyleigh and I survived lived together in Swaziland, Africa back in 2008... love this girl!)

And just for fun, this is a GREAT book I recommend by Melanie Shankle who has the Big Mama blog. She's hilarious, and no matter how long you've been married I think you'll appreciate this book, a good laugh, and some insight because you aren't the only one who feel/thinks that in marriage. :) Just read it, trust me!

Blessings,

Amanda

Playing Catch up Part I - San Diego

I did an iPhone dump of pictures on my computer this weekend. I think there were about 1,300.... so here are a few for part one of my catch up series. These are from a trip I took to visit my bestie Jess in San Diego back in February. I always love my time with her, and of course spending time in San Diego is a bonus! We went to Temecula for a little getaway to do some wine tasting and just relax. It was awesome!! The rest of our time was spent around SD. Enjoy!

Amanda

I'm back...

I decided to start blogging again! We made our blog private but so many people don't have google accounts so that didn't work out. I miss being able to use this as a creative outlet, and to keep up with what's going on in our little world. I'll probably have a few "catch up" posts with lots of pictures to let you in a little on what we've been up to since January :) But for now, have a happy Memorial Day weekend!!

Amy's Trip to Houston!!

Amy planned a spur of the moment trip to Houston last Thursday night so she brought Molly and Parker for a little weekend getaway. I was planning on running the Houston half marathon that Sunday but due to a neck injury my doctor said I couldn't run in the marathon, so my weekend was wide open, a perfect weekend for them to come. We had so much fun! Friday night we did some shopping and eating at one of our favorite restaurants. Saturday morning we loaded up and went to Terry Hershey park for a long walk and stopped by the playground so Molly could swing and slide. She had a blast and was a little sad to leave the park. Jerrod was with us and he brought along Rhodie for a short run. It was the perfect weather. Then we headed to city center for some more shopping. Amy bought me a pair of Lululemon running shorts for my birthday, which I am in love with. We headed back to our place for some lunch and nap time for Molly. It was nice just relaxing a few hours. Parker laid with me on the couch while I was watching tv, I enjoyed our snuggle time :) He's such a happy baby! We got ready, did a little shopping, then we met Rivers for dinner at Collina's. It's one of our favorite Houston restaurants, they have amazing homemade pizzas and you can bring your own wine. We had dinner, talked, and just enjoyed hanging out and the kids were happy catmpers… it was fun! Sunday we met Carter, Laura and Charlotte at the Houston Zoo for the morning. The kids loved it, and it was another gorgeous day. And of course they HAD to ride the train… Molly kept saying choo choo mommy…. choo choo lol. We ate at Fuddruckers and then headed back to our place so Amy could pack up the car and head home. She was a trooper making the 3 hour drive by herself with 2 babies but we really appreciate it!! We had so much fun and I can't wait to do it again. I am so glad we are close and can hang out on the weekends now :) Love you Amy!!!! Here are a few of my iPhone pics but Amy has some much better pictures on her blog here.

I know this picture is blurry but it was so cute! He was going crazy jumping!
